Presenting and promoting the work

The designer has the right to present their work in the context of their references, publications, exhibitions, professional meetings, etc., and it is therefore recommended that the client provide the designer with an adequate number of free copies of their work. For low-value objects or products, this is ten copies, for medium-value items – such as furniture and the like – one to two pieces, and for extremely valuable items – vehicles, boats, aircraft, valuable coins, jewellery – the client is obliged (if possible because of the nature of the item) to provide a loan of the item for the designer’s presentation. If multiple free copies cannot be agreed, it is recommended that the designer agrees with the client to obtain at least one free copy and the others at a reduced price.

It is recommended that the client makes all product documentation, as well as related photo or video material, available free of charge (or for a minimum compensation for expenses) for the designer’s presentation purposes.
