When the designer (or the signatory of the contract) entrusts part of the project to colleagues or external contractors, the designer is solely responsible for the quality of the services provided, as well as for their subcontractors.
If the designer proposes a provider of implementation services and the client accepts, or if the client selects the provider themselves, it’s advisable that the designer supervises the service implementation, provided they agree to do so.
The designer can propose a provider of implementation services (e.g. print technician, web page programmer…) to the client, which the client can decide whether to accept or not, but the designer is not held accountable for the selection of the provider of implementation services. Finalised works can be priced as ADDITIONAL WORKS.
