The designer may request from the client between three and ten author’s format copies of their work, except that if the work is a small print run or a work of value (e.g. coins, banknotes, etc.) or documentary printed matter or a work of exceptional value, the number of author’s format copies may be reduced to a minimum of one. The number of author’s format copies should be specified in the contract.
The author may and shall have the right to exhibit their work for the purposes of their own presentation without the prior permission of the client. To this end, the contract should already provide for a right of access to the original in case it becomes the client’s property.
