The design profession is a planning and implementation activity in the field of visual communication. The process of integration is the search for visual expression and planning to convey content and is an intellectual service.
The concept of graphic design is defined by communication – that is, conveying messages that are perceived primarily visually. Today, graphic design is understood as a profession whose primary activity is the concept and implementation of visual communications intended to convey messages to social groups.
The ability to design comes from a fusion of skills, knowledge, understanding and imagination, strengthened by years of experience in the professional field.
The unstoppable technical evolution towards digitalisation requires the designer to be highly educated and able to keep up with the new virtual communication environment into which visual communications are migrating, as well as the changes in ways of communicating and therefore delivering information. Design thinking is an integral part of the design process that opens up a whole new way of thinking through practical methods of testing solutions and non-linear thinking, and therefore the possibility of creating innovative solutions. Today, design thinking is recognised as an important creative tool that other educational and economic institutions are bringing into their environment.
