The Slovenian Copyright and Related Rights Act (ZASP) is harmonized with European legislation regarding the calculation of royalties for the use of copyright works.

The author’s royalties for the use of the copyright work take into account the spatial, temporal and content (and thus also the intensity) aspect and, with the help of the recommended factors, it can be calculated only for the creation of the author’s design concept, but not for the technical implementation or the realization of the design concept[1].

[1] The implementation of the design concept means the transfer of the design solution to an implementation file for various media (print, video/film, electronic media, objects, clothing, etc.), for various modes of appearance (color, black-and-white, two- or three-dimensional, animated), which only in the executed form then enter different communication channels.
